Grande Hotel Do Porto

The location is a big plus. Friendly staff and clean accommodation. Due to construction work it was a bit noisy (during the day).

Breakfast was good--your bacon was very odd. The strawberry jam was delicious along with the OJ, pineapple juice and hot chocolate machine.

We were original assigned a one double bed and we had requested two twin beds. The air conditioning in our original room did not work. The staff kindly moved us to a room with two twin beds and with proper air conditioning.

The property was fantastic with absolutely kind and accommodating staff at the reception desk, I greatly enjoyed the stay. My double room and bed were exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was modern, included a shower, a hair dryer and a bidet.

The location of the hotel is simply perfect!

The breakfast was a bit monotonous after two days: one type of cheese and one type of sausage. But there was a lot of candy for that.

Room very small, bed only 1.40 m wide. Wardrobe and bathroom tiny. Altogether well suited as a 1 bed room. Breakfast ok, but not outstanding. Price-performance ratio thumbs down.

Limited seating in common areas.

The room was right next to a construction site in the neighboring house. They started working there at 7:00. Noise nuisance! Also the ventilation in front of our window was very loud and disturbing. The shower was bad. The water just trickled out of the shower head!!!!! No German TV channels.

The breakfast buffet was perfectly sufficient. The location is perfect!

Staff were dismissive during a fire emergency.

The hotel has an excellent location and very attentive and responsive staff. Always professional and ready to help or recommend places to see or places to eat. The hotel is a little dated but still has that "charm" and was an excellent choice for someone who wants to visit the port caves or just relax for the weekend. The buffet breakfast was excellent. I did not eat other meals at the hotel but the menu's looked extremely good. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends traveling to Porto.

The hotel is in the great location, looks absolutely lovely from the inside, the staff are very friendly and helpful - spot on.

The only thing we didn't like is that they're charging for the wireless internet 2 Euro/hr.

Greatly enjoyed this exceptional hotel with extremely helpful and genuinely helpful staff at the reception desk. I booked functional romantic room with a too firm mattress.

Spotless hotel, recently refurbished rooms, magnificent and unbeatable location close to everything we wanted to see. Complimentary breakfast which at about 16 Euros was very good quality, combined with a good service. WiFi and a lounge area in the room and the large bed. The particularly helpful staff all round.
